The South Island Thunderbirds is one of 11 teams participating in the non-profit BC Major Midget Hockey League.

The September to March regular season and playoff schedule requires that the team travel to the Lower Mainland, Kamloops, Prince George, Kelowna, Castlegar and Nanaimo.  The team is looking for corporate sponsorship and support to assist in covering its costs of operation, which include on and off ice practice and training expenses, travel costs and equipment.

There are many levels of potential support including Gold, Silver and Bronze Sponsorship levels, program advertising, auction prize donations and/or website recognition.
