Clay brings some valuable size as a rookie with the Thunderbirds and, not turning 15 until December, is another of the youngest players in the league. He is a grade 10 student attending Belmont Secondary School and played his minor hockey in the Juan de Fuca system. His recent career highlights include: a Provincial Championship in 2009 in Bantam AA after two third place finishes in previous seasons, earning a spot at provincial camp in the 2009 U16 BC Best Ever program, getting drafted by the Calgary Hitmen, having an undefeated season in 2008-09 and earning a spot on the Thunderbirds for 2009-10. His goal is to play in the WHL and his favorite NHL player is Evgeni Malkin.
