Justin returns for his sophomore season with the Thunderbirds after scoring 17 points (3 goals and 14 assists) and accumulating 32 penalty minutes as a rookie in 2008-09. He is in Grade 11 at Lambrick Park Secondary and played his Bantam and Pee Wee hockey at the Victoria Racquet Club. His hockey career highlights include: playing in the Quebec International Pee Wee tournament; winning the Island Championship as a Pee Wee AAA and earning a silver medal at the Provincials; attending provincial camps as a U16 and U17 in the BC Best Ever program; participating in the BC Winter Games (4th place finish); going to Japan with Team BC for the 10th anniversary of the Nagano Olympic Games; and playing for the T-Birds as a first year Midget. He aspires to play in the BCHL and then move on to the NCAA's Division 1 and ultimately to get to the NHL. Favorite NHL player is Joe Sakic.
